FALLBROOK, Calif. (KTLA) -- The body of a woman found near Lake Skinner has been positively identified as Brittany Killgore, the 22-year old wife of a Camp Pendleton Marine.

Killgore had been missing since Friday, just days after she filed for divorce from her husband, Lance Cpl. Cory Killgore.

Police say a suicide note written by Jessica Lynn Lopez led them to the location.

Lopez, 27, was arrested at the Ramada Inn in the 1400 block of Rosecrans Blvd. in San Diego on Tuesday.

Police found Lopez inside her room with multiple self-inflicted cuts.

They also found a suicide note that indicated what happened to Killgore and where her body was.

She will be booked on suspicion of murder, according to San Diego County Sheriff's Dept. Capt. Duncan Fraser.

Lopez and Killgore may have been part of some kind of sex ring with the missing woman, a neighbor told 10News in San Diego.

Each soldier pleaded guilty to at least one count of violating Regulation 350-6 — wrongfully engaging in a personal and social relationship with a trainee — and dozens of other related offenses on and off post between December 2005 and August 2008.

Fort Leonard Wood officials told Army Times there is “no clear pattern” in the conduct of the cadre over the two and a half years, indicating they all appeared to have acted alone.
